The Resident Idiot Troll
As most of you know, we have a few resident lunatics in here who think it is really big and funny to start new threads with the specific intent of bad-mouthing other members of the forum. They also attack these members in already running threads, or simply post crass rubbish trying to stir you lot into a reaction.
Before you all jump down the throats of the attacking posters, or – indeed – jump to your own defence, please take a moment or two to look carefully at the posts/threads.
The trolls usually have a name that is a “variation” of a known member, or a complex series of letters/numbers. If you look, the post will be either the first or second by the troll.
A troll needs fuel to continue and the best fuel it can have is a reaction from normal people like you. That amuses their little minds and makes them think it is all worthwhile.
So please try your best not to rise to such bait. Do not respond at all. Just “report” the post whereupon a mod will delete the post/thread and ban the idiot from PPRuNe.
Maybe with no reactions from the targets he/she/it will get bored and stop. If not, we don’t mind spending the time banning the idiots, it passes the time.
