It's wearing a mis match of markings, not correct for that airframe....

However, 111 did operate 3 x F.6's during the last 6 months of it's Lightning operations in the summer of 74, during it's transistion to the Phantom.

Quite right GeeRam and one of them was XR752 code Y and it had my name on the side!!

The other two being XR747 'X' and XS895 'Z', which a year or so later after returning to 23 Sqn, became the 'Last Leuchars Lightning' when it left there resplendent in it's 'Scottish Airforce' markings.
