Terrible news. My condolences go out to the families and friends of the crew. I'll raise a glass tonight in their memory. RIP.

Madbob,

I too remember EM from his 74 Sqn days - gone, but not forgotten.

My memories of 43 go back to the Hunter days of the 60s. Great Squadron then and now.

My deepest sympathy to the crews' families, friends, and to all at Leuchars.

Goodnight, fellas. Raise a glass in the bar up there, and we'll do the same down here. Condolencies to the families. Time to rally round, 43, you were good when I served there - and you still are!

Not good news I'm afraid. And twice in one day. Funny how bad news travels so fast.

Deepest sympathies and to all with Leuchars links past and present, and the lads in Afghanistan x

Tragic news.

I was airborne today as events unfolded. I have to say a most impressive display of airmanship from 'Blacksmith 2' with the coordination of the initial response.

RIP guys.

Crash

Without doubt, a terrible and difficult time for the families concerned and all on 43 Sqn! Our heartfelt thoughts go to the families, the boss and aircrew and groundcrew of 43 Sqn.

Another sad loss of those committed to military aviation.

Sorry I can't be at the Mess tonight to toast 2 fine chaps, friends and comrades in arms.

A glass, or 6, raised to the Fighting Cocks. G F.
My thoughts go to those left behind.

RIP guys; truely tragic.

My sincere condolences to the Families, Sqn and Staff at Leuchars.

Heard the tannoy for the MRT go off, shortly followed by the news of what had happened.

Will raise a glass of Scotland's finest to you.

RIP.

Rest in Peace, both the lost aircrew and the two soldiers killed in action today. This is very sad news, and I am really sorry for the losses suffered by families and friends.

Sitting with a large malt intending to toast my last day with a F1250, instead I raise it to 2 aviators whom I did not know, and to too many other absent friends. Rest in peace, all of you.
Thoughts with all connected at this devastating time.
