Awesome

Those Harrier shots are great, particularly that last one!

Any chance we can get hold of some high res copies?

Bottom Typhoon pic:

Looks like only the port engine is in afterburner which may explain the tyre looking like it's coming off the rim ! Either that or it's the weight of the gun

Great Pics'

I never had the opportunity or some would say skill to take such shots at the home of the Harrier ( and that doesn't mean b****y Wart On ) as a resident photographer...

Re.tail markings, I remember seeing a Tornado at West Freugh labelled ' 2CV ' which seemed about right.

Yes I do remember the take-off if the crew are reading this, flat out skidding rather than climbing with the tailpipes about 6' up, only just made it over the hangars - where people who thought they'd seen everything were beginning to run !

TEEEJ. Yes, right first time; definitely looks boxhead

An observation for the youngsters: the Royal Air Force once had a tradition that "abreviated" Squadron Badges on fins should be contained within an arrow shaped border;

Post war, the "tradition" evolved to containment in a circle;

later evolving to a new "tradition" of no border;

The latest fashion is now badges on a shield, like the more junior air forces;

Luftwaffe JG 73

Sorry for the blatant Thread drift. Those photographs are brilliant and the clarity and "framing" is superb. Many thanks for sharing them.
