RAF Service, Canada, Late WW2

A friend of mine, is trying to find out a little about his father's service in the RAF. I have passed him the details of the Air Historical Branch, but in the meantime, I thought I'd post here.

His father was an armourer, working mainly on Spitfires, but in Canada 1944-45 timeframe. My guess is a Training unit, but dates and locations are scant.

If anyone has an idea of where we could take our research further, ie dates, locations, units etc please post, or PM me.

Regards,

Advo
