Hmmm, nice job. I think I owe the Valley Paint Shop crew a few beers and some wallpaper, if they will give it house room.

A job well done to the painters ..... but ....... it just looks like a Kenyan Hawk ..... sorry, not as good as i thought it would be, and i've seen it in the flesh, so to speak.

A question, if I may. Am I to understand that the 19 on the fin is red on one side and yellow on the other and if so, why? Cracking job, by the way. Is it going to Fairford?

Surely it's one of uncle Bobs, as the sun doesn't shine in the valley of the trogs!

Looks rubbish! I dare you to fly it through Selkirk-Moffat at 100 feet, and prove me wrong

SWMBO, who really does not know much about this sort of thing, saw me looking at the pictures and said 'Wow, a jet version of a Spitfire' so I think this scheme is going to go down well with the general public as well as people like us.

Always thought the Hawk was a pretty aeroplane. But it really does wonders for morale to see it with teeth and a punchy paint scheme

Look fabulous! Congrats to all involved. Looking forward to seeing some air-to-air shots! Hopefully alongside a Spit!

Cheers

Both sides are yellow, but 19 Squadron used different coloured '19's for their flights - so some had yellow, some red (and IIRC the SL's was white)

Top Marks to all that were involved, I look forward to seeing the Jet out and about (hopefully) nice to know that paintjobs like this can still be done.

Talk is that an awful amount of hurdles had to be overcome to get to this stage; Camouflage Working Group and a lengthy 'Risk Assessment' document for starters!
