Tartan Week & the RAF

Saw an article in the paper about tartan week in New York, there on stage was an RAF Officer looking very fetching in his mess dress jacket with a kilt!

I find it a little disturbing that you find the thought of a male RAF Officer in a garishly checked skirt as something fetching.....................you're not "that" directional consultant from Benson by and chance which would, of course explain your warped mindset

I do believe members of 603 (City of Edinburgh) Sqn RAuxAF are permitted to wear Grey Douglas tartan kilts with No 5 mess kit jackets at informal dinners. All other tartans (even the official RAF tartan) are unauthorised for wear with RAF uniform.
