That engine was thrashed; not just some bent compressor blades, but the entire first few stages lying in the bottom of the nacelle in cookie-sized shreds.
Luckily the debris were contained.

Who ever was flying the Canberra, must have had their hands full & done a first class job on one engine,as this aircraft had a reputation for not flying well at all on one engine.

To deviate a little from the title, the Canberra was only a handful if an engine failed below V2 with take off power or high power set. If memory serves above 135kts the rudder was capable of looking after the yaw.

To finish this O/T thread within a thread, this particular Canberra had its unfortunate encounter during a low-level bombing practice run off the Dutch Frisian islands. I didn't speak to the pilot, just saw the mess.
