Question Command Ejection

Just wanted to know from anyone, can the Tornado crew initiate ejection for each other in an emergency?
Regards, Den.

Command ejection 'lever' is in the back cockpit. Settings are BOTH / REAR.

Regardless of setting, if the pilot initiates the ejection, then both crew goes. If the navigator initiates ejection, then the Cmd Eject setting is applied ie. BOTH crew, or REAR seater only.

Over the years, different operating procedures have applied regarding the switch position, particularly during the t/o phase ... as an experienced back seater, often with vastly more time on type than the pilot, I maintain it's better set to BOTH for safety. But hey, I'm sure someone will claim that I'm only a nav, so what do I know.

There HAS to be a joke here somewhere about getting one installed in your car that says BOTH/WIFE

Thumbs up

Thanks threepoint14,
I knew there was that option,(didn't know the in's and out's though, if you'll pardon the pun!) I just wanted it from someone in the know to settle a dispute at work.
Regards, Den.
