A group of would be flyers have mastered the first part of the course, the bit that Douglas Adams described as "Throwing yourself at the ground and missing".

deja-vu?
Back in 2009 AirborneArtist won a remarkably-similar compo with:

A shortage of parachute packers forces 1 PTS to teach would-be airborne soldiers yogic flying.

The 2015 RAF pilots induction course found training lacked somewhat due to cutbacks resulting in a shortage of airframes.

Upholding tradition was of supreme importance to the Japanese Air Force. Here we see the latest group of trainees being put through their paces on the Kamikaze course.

Judging Time!
I liked Coffman's:
"Yogic Flying Lesson 1 - Effects of Controls "
And Nutloose's:
"Boys, due to the uncertainty of these life ex parachutes I want you all to pull the cord at 10 feet"
"That'll be awfully low be sure, are you sure about dis Sir"
"Be Jesus guys, 10 foot is nothing, if the chute fails you can jump that far"
But I have to award it to Buster with the simple but effective:
"ONE THOUS..*UGH*..."
Take it away Buster (and no gloating to Nuts..)!

Defaulters Parade at RARDE Fort Halstead usually involved ammunition trials.
It must have worked. No-one was ever on Parade twice.
