And immediately realises it doesn't have enough parking spaces.

Good one EkPark

Wait for excuses like routine maintenance, side effect of banked hub, DXB constraints, not enough slots, Trump is bad, BREXIT is killing, India is not handing out more and DWC is not coming online fast enough.

Also fleet utilization is at or above industry standard. Nothing to see here.

Yeah especially when they just cut and pasted the "we just do it better model". However they didn't become complacent (yet) and wanted blood. Considering their fleet diversity, I think they just may emerge as the winner.

Remember, "size" matters.

Love it! That highlights the problem perfectly, and the parking exodus to DWC is about to begin.
By the way, the glut of parked blunderbuses is usually gone by midday, as they get towed onto available stands.

I will finish that for you P7xkk..."and then depart".

You all have the ability to check tail numbers and where they are. Worth a look when you are bored.

Thanks for the input Don, much appreciated 😚
Yep, they come, get looked at, fiddled with, wait around a while, moved, filled up, and foxtrot oscar, to lord knows where.
But when t'long term parking kicks in out in t'desert, who knows where it will end.
It's a given that reliability will plummet, and by the way, the boys and girls at DWC are already worried about where all these rumoured a/c are going to be positioned down there. Space is at a premium apparently.

They need $40B to complete DWC. With EK already on break even line and costs going up, they may never recover that cost.
