Pretty sure not having a driver who smashes into car has something to do with it .

But it happens doesn't it? And some one else may smash into your car; either way the laws of physics don't change! Just wear the seatbelt

How many times have you been in transport with the driver's nodding and blinks becoming ever longer in the wee small hours?
I have stopped it twice and continued the drive to work myself with the bod having 40 winks in the back seat!!
The other less dramatic alternative is to get the ac on full blast and engage in loud conversation about cricket!
