You have always gotten paid for a support sim. And at normal rate. How could you accept a job and not know what T&Cs you will have?

You are right, it's now payed as Ground Duty... Which is exactly the same as Flight pay...

A support SIM is paid the same as any other duty. It would be paid at productivity rate if appropriate. Your own recurrent SIMs are paid at this ground duty rate (flight duty pay). SEP, Recurrent ground school and manual handling SIM are not paid.

You have to laugh at those who have no idea . Those who are at EK have all the info they need. Some need to go find it before spouting off.

Slight technical correction I believe.

Per Pay Review email 2/6/16 bullet point 4. The Ground Duty Pay is paid quote: "...per simulator hour..."

Not the time on duty i.e. pre & post brief of 90minutes if I am reading it correctly.

Eventhough the official name is now "Ground Duty Pay" (misnomer?) we are not getting paid for that DUTY but only what will become the three hours in sim.

🤔

As far as I remember when I first joined rosters used to come out on 20-21st, long timers correct me if I'm wrong.
I've found a roster from 2008 sent on the 22nd while cleaning my inbox and that's some years after I joined.

And to give you an idea that month in 2008 I had 14 days leave, 9 days off and 2 flights totaling 45 hours.

Use to be the 16th to 18th. But there was a temporary change to later in the month to allow fleet flexibility during a difficult period. Seems they forgot to change it back.

When was cleaning up my desk prior to leaving, I found a 2008 roster . I had 4 flights, for a total of 72 hours, 17 days off, 9 of which were in a row. That was the job I went to.

Depended what fleet you were on Kap. The 330 fellas were on min days off with Crap rosters in 2008. If you get bored, search posts from back then. Boeing fellas advising newbies to only join the Boeing fleet etc. It hasn't been good for a long time. The pain is only shared more now.
