Just picked up the latest rumour on CM, obviously the local mafia objected to his Highness that the transformation was going to far and therefore CM got recalled in his power.
Any confirmation?

Talparc,
You seem to have a habit of spouting rumors without merit, its been prevalent in other posts as well.
Lets look at this from an objective position;
CM was hired by HH to bring the company back into profitability. One does not hire a person like CM without knowing what the man does and what his history with other carriers has been. Also, HH would have known that the hard hitting CM would ruffle some feathers along the way knowing full well that something had to change. There is still a long way to go to bring the company back onto the right track, if CM (or STC) leaves the castle in 2017 for ANY reason, then we all have bigger things to worry about than this or accommodation allowances etc.
Just my 6 pesos worth.

Lets look at this from a realistic position
Yes, initially to stop the haemorrhaging
Malaysian knew it and still he left deceived
Sure, but some silly top notch feathers stay exempted
STC can leave anytime, however concerning CM it's exactly my feeling. It is more than an open secret that he criticised the too big a number of 380s. Now right under his nose, there came 3 new ones for X-mas and today's article in the GN reveals that there is no plan not to take the remaining 53.
Seems enough to me to leave the place in the shambles it put itself in. Evoking honouring contracts makes me laugh, they mean nothing to EK if they don't like them, just look into the mirror ....
Let's keep on applying idle reverse, late APU starts, avoiding Salik and everything will be fine.
I am disappointed.

I'm not sure STC leaving this year would be cause for concern - I think it's essential.
He's done his bit over the lifetime of the airline and now it's at a point where things need to change and be moved into the "next phase".
In order for that to happen it needs a change of leadership - just like any other business would in any other industry.
We are in the process of formulating our exit strategy anyway, but I think if CM is moved aside, all his plans are binned and we take the remainder of those damn 380's then it won't be out of choice we are leaving - I just hope we bail before it sinks.

So you are leaving because 380s are coming?

If CM heads the company it will be tough for a while but it will get better.
If STC continues it will be "awesome" until the last day, which will happen unannounced.
This company is built on a false image, one cannot fix and keep image at the same time. I guess HH made his decision to keep the image.

Of course not, I'm setting the wheels in motion because this place is killing me (and yes I've filled the reports and done everything available to us), however as a side issue this place as we are all well aware is not in a good way at the moment and it's very difficult to see how that can be turned around IF they continue down the path that they started down a few years ago - it simply isn't sustainable. I've nothing against the 380 - it's a tin can with engines just the all the other tin cans with engines and it undoubtedly has a place in this company, but not in the numbers that we have. To be honest we probably don't need the number of 777s either. The overcapacity is laughable. Every other CEO, analyst, Journalist, spotter etc etc can't be wrong and our dear old lot are not such superior geniuses.
So no I'm not looking to leave because of some aeroplane, but I am hoping to be gone before this clearly disastrous strategy becomes unrecoverable.
