EK late roster

Here we go again.
This might come as a total surprise to the management team, but last time I checked, June had only 30 days.
"Roster should be published no LATER then 7 days before the end of the month"
Ok, I know.....they convenient removed that line from the OMA some month ago.
Isn't it pathetic that half of my crew had their roster yesterday and for us still nothing.
Sad!

For the benefit of the wizofozmate on the lost and found thread could you explain how this works as he thinks he's been getting his roster a day early every month for the last nine years.

The 24th is 7 days before the end of the month.

SO it was nice of the company to publish them today......

Here's the really dumb thing. They could publish the rosters on the 15th like just about every other airline. Yes it would not be optimal for them. But really, aside from a few A/C swaps that MAY result in one or two call outs a month the goodwill benefit to the pilots by allowing us to plan our lives and vacation travel would be immense. This is one of the little things they could do to make life a bit easier at almost no cost.

Same across the runway at flydubai. No rosters yet. Or as it's called; "to match the operational flying schedule without compromising the integrity of the rosters."

Yet another thread to confirm the reason management all waited for a cockroach the other day at HQ rather than to step on it......it respects itself

If you resign, do you expect your 90 days notice to start on the day you hand in your notice, or the day after?

7 FULL days before the end of a 30 day month is before 24th, so 23rd
Yes, but it doesn't say "full days" does it?

I understand there are two ways of looking at it- and, surprise, the company looks at it in the way most advantageous to itself.

That doesn't make that view invalid.

I'll throw this into the argument.

When you call sick at 2300 hours, when does the clock start for the 2 days non-certified start?

MR8,

I've explained to YOU that there are different ways to interpret things. If I tell you I am doing something 7 days from today, today is day one of seven.

I didn't say you were wrong, I said there are different interpretations and the company uses one advantageous to them.

That you, of course, can't take part in a disagreement without resorting to personal attacks is symptomatic of the problem I am trying to highlight.

And, so you know, the date emirates has given me as last day of service is 90 days, INCLUSIVE of the day I submitted- cause I'm resigning from Emirates, not the UK civil service.
