Jet 2 roadshow Dubai

For pilots looking for an escape from the sandpit.

Jet 2 are coming to town!

Monday to Thursday 23rd -26th

10-6 Westin hotel.

Open day, Flight of flight operations and flight crew manager in attendance, plus recruitment team including ex EK captain.

Know a number of guys who have gone to Jet2 in the last year, no complaints ( apart from a bit of a hit on the pay check!)

All in it works out to between 5500 and 5600 GBP in your hand, that I am sure will be enough to tempt a few more away from the "workers paradise" that is EK or fly DXB.
Knowing a few ex colleagues, if you are cashed up, mortgage just about gone, and have teenage or close kids, to me it a no brainer.

Must have been some significant pay rises since I left last year.

LHS 737 CL, in the final twelve months I worked for them, my average take home pay was 4600 GBP, varying between 4200 to 5100.

Not a bad place to work but don't expect to get rich.

Pay rise last January, I believe, according to a mate, who started earlier this year.

17% pay rise . Hourly duty pay up to 13.52/ hour. 15% pension and profit share.
And a free holiday once per year of 3 months. Paradise is found in Leeds.

Big pay rise announced in Jan, effective April as you say Kennedy. There has also been hikes in sector pay, duty pay and extra days of leave subject to time in company.

You'll take a hit in pay because of tax wherever you go if you come home, but you'll be a lot happier and enjoy a load of time off to go skiing!

Great people, 90% day flights, own bed at night. I haven't looked back...that's my take.

I left the Pit for J2 just over a year ago.
Best move i've made.
worst case you check-out at 2am. Gotta be better than checking-in for a 03:20 Kabul.
You also fly about 80 hours between November and March if you're lucky.
The company isn't perfect but I'm not yet aware of a company that is.
