Midroc and SAL

If anyone is thinking of joining Midroc or SAL, you may want to reconsider. Midroc hasn't been paid for five months and SAL is going on three months.

Why people are flying without being paid is beyond me...

Set the brake and tell these clowns you don't move until you're paid up-to-date, and that goes for everyone. It's not called a job if you're not getting paid...

Quit letting these people treat you like their slaves FFS!

So here is the update on Midroc and SAL. SAL has ceased operation and the aircraft has been transferred to Midroc as of January 1st. Midroc and SAL staff received most of their money on Dec 31st. However, there is still EOS outstanding for the SAL employees. But again no one from Midroc has been paid since Jan 1st.
While I appreciate your comments of set the brakes until you're paid I can tell you that it doesn't work. The SAL pilots tried that and they were immediately dismissed and still haven't received their compensation. And the operation was shut down.
When you have an operation with long term loyal employees that can't or don't want to get another job, it's hard to get everyone together. And when managements attitude is to just replace you if your not happy, rather than resolve the pay situation, it makes things more difficult.
And why do people come to places that don't pay you ask? Simple. Pilots are desperate to keep flying! There are a lot of pilots in the USA that are being forced to retire because of the age 65 rule. They don't need the money and they want to continue the lifestyle. Our President has a pipeline into that supply. Of course they don't know they're not going to get paid and it usually takes three months for them to finally figure it out. At that point they either leave or hang on waiting for their pay to come. If they leave the company saves the money they would have paid out. Pretty slick!
So a word to the wise. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don't join Midroc.

Just thought I'd give you all an update on Midroc. As of December 12th, 2016, the employees have not been paid their salaries since May of 2016 and they have not received their per diem and expenses since December 2015. Yet, Sheikh MA is still running around in his A330. Go figure.
