Also ask how much of that you will save: no point in earning 23k SAR if it costs 22500 to live!

A lesson from Dubai; you could quite easily earn less overall in, say, Zambia, but save more...

SAR23,000 is the basic salary, its not Dubai, most of that money can be saved by a single person.

All salaries depend on fleet type, while the salaries are similar, the real money is in productivity, overtime and expenses. The 330 is the lowest payer.

Mutt

I was guessing that was the case but I thought that the concept deserves a mention, lots of people don't think about it until they've moved!

A330 salary

23.000 as mutt mentioned.if you are NTR a 25% will be deducted until the amount of 100.000 SAR. On the 24th mont of official duties you will have a single deposit of 110.000 SAR. If u are TR 23.000 plus flights hours above 45 (330 averages 65 per month.) plus productivity night flying lay overs etc. Cost of living in JED is extremely low compared to DXB or DOH. So saving is possible

The end of contract bonus is equivalent to the provident fund paid by Emirates.

To topic starter:

I answered this question privately to one of my friends. It took me about an hour to do all math and explain where it comes from.
So, first of all I doubt someone will spend that much time explaining things to a stranger. Second - for number of reasons this is confidential information. As you probably noticed there is no much money data on any public forum.
The only encouraging message: money is good here. Even on 330. It's a little bit down at the moment ahead of receiving new aircraft and wil be back to normal as soon as things stabilize. Of course, if you have e chance, go to 777. But, still 330 is good enough. Generally money is better then anywhere in the Gulf. And you will save most of them. This is the reason people come to Saudi Arabia. Otherwise they would all go to UAE.

To second alloha post, there is no much to spend in Saudi Arabia other than food. So definitely there is a lot of room to save, way more than DOH or DXB. The only disadvantage for some people could be the lifestyle. There is less and limited things to do in Saudia Arabia as compared to other places.

Life is full of choice!
Things are as good as you can make it out of them.

Good luck on your hiring process!

Oh Yeah, 23,009 SAR-25% bond is what you'll get in training. And on line, one can easily make 30-37K. Cost of living for a bachelor is hardly 2-3K. If you have a family I think 10-15K max. Its cheaper than DXB n DOH.Cars pretty much same as DXB/DOH but fuel is cheap. And not as bad as people project. For entertainment, take a flight Bahrain or your home country on your days off.

A330 schedules next year?

What will happen to the A330 schedules next year when the new aircraft begin to arrive?

What is a reasonable expectation for monthly credit hours now?

After the new aircraft arrive?

What is an estimate of the ratio of block hours flown to credit hours?

Thanks ahead of time for the info. The answers to these questions seem necessary to evaluate any offer.

The. A330 will arrive in 2017. And it will cover all the high density routes (DXB CAI KHI plus the domestics) that are currently operating by the T7 .Right now the 330 crews fly 60-65 hours a month but nobody can tell if its going to change or not

The difference between block and credit time?

How many hours of credit do 65 hours of block time equate to?
