The Part A doesn't state that DEC applicants shall have widebody experience but it is preferred that they have. Interesting to note that 330/340 experience is required for the latest 330 DEC advert but the response seems to have been very poor. No real surprise there I guess.

So you weren't at the pilot meeting a few years back where AAR and other mangement types said all the DECs will have wide body experience because that is what we need.
You didn't mention or comment on the FOs upgrading now with less than the requirements stated in the OM-A.
Is that getting in the way of your story VFE?

my rule of thumb, pilots point of view.
- Any company having to advertise once a year is most probably an acceptable/desirable employer. With opportunities and is somewhat employee oriented.
- Any company having to advertise more than once and/or can be viewed on a regular basis advertising vacancies (lets say 6 times a year). Is most probably a non desirable employer, without opportunities for personal improvements. But is a no thrills employer do the job and shut-up kind of stuff (two way traffic).With opportunities but not employee oriented.
-Any company having to advertise on a rolling basis utilizing all available means to attract 'victims' is most probably a non desirable short term employer without opportunities and is a one way traffic into the system and not employee oriented.
Than you have the known odd balls like goats and sheep . Anything is possible here regarding personal improvement and/or opportunities but is NOT employee oriented no matter the catching phrases (they are there to catch you literally) .
BUT What you are looking for is the silent company ,where nobody remembers the last advertisement placed , offering you all the opportunities IS employee oriented and around the corner of your domicile but unreachable for whatever reason in the past and now for known reasons to Captains and older F/O's.

I've had several friends leave EK for greener pastures and I've asked them all. None have had their licenses taken from them. Not sure where you have heard that but I think it's just rumour.
Do you personally know of anyone who has had their licenses taken off them? And I don't mean your 'second cousins maid who works for a guy who's son was told'.... blah, blah, blah.
Please enlighten if you have "first hand knowledge" of it being diff.

Can confirm EK take your licence off you when you leave. If you want to keep it you can, but your final pay has the total cost of initial issue, and every subsequent renewal, deducted. Cnuts.

Don't think any airline cancels the license when one leaves. Never heard.
But remember, once the license expires, there is no way to renew it unless you are associated with an operator in the UAE.
