Private flying - UAE, Oman or Saudi

Hi, I've recently moved to Abu Dhabi with an EASA PPL. I'm looking for somewhere in the region to fly privately but it seems options are limited.

As I understand it, to fly privately in the UAE requires an AED11,000 conversion to a GCC licence and once you do there are few places you can do it. Is there anything in Oman or Saudi? Or is it possible here and I've missed a trick?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks,
James

Best bet, go fly Gyro Copters around Ras-Al-Kaimah Jazirah Aviation Club 25°39'51.84"N/ 55°46'25.96"E. Best fun I am sure, no need to convert, fly with their instructor and you relaize how small the borders are. I doubt there is any private flying here with fixed wing!

Skydive Dubai is also starting a Gyro operation off the drop-zone.
