Looks like DXB has overtaken LHR as the busiest airport in the world for Intl. traffic.

It was eventually bound to happen!Heathrow has limited slots thats why there is no chance to expand.If they get a third runway then they have a chance to grow otherwise expect DXB to be ruling for sometime.

Indeed Heathrow is still busier, 73million pax versus 70million at DXB and movements far exceed DXBs mainly wide bodied traffic. Statistics is statistics though

If you just include movements Dubai is approx 28th busiest in the world.
The only statistic that is important to pilots.
What are going to be the hold times when Dubai moves into the top 20 busiest airports? Twice as they are now?
