330neo or new 350 order?

With the cancellation of the 350 order and Airbus announcing the 330neo...What are your thoughts?

1. Will EK keep the 330 ' s and refurbish then to service the routes that don't make sense for the 777 or 380?

2. Order 330neo's?

3. Get a better deal and re-order 350's?

4. Retire the 330/340 as planned by 2017 and go 777/ 380 (319) only?

As an EK 330 only pilot, I'm interested to hear your thoughts....

betting that the 330NEO is more successful than the 350 in the long run..

Almost exactly 14 years ago I heard TC say that he thought that by 2012 the smallest aircraft in the fleet would be the 773 and to use it on services really only needing something smaller is called 'the intelligent mis-use of capacity', where the company doesn't need all the effort and expense of a separate fleet of smaller types.

The 787 has a BIG order backlog that EK would surely be at the tail-end of if orders were placed now.

The 350 was red in the water for EK for ages before the plug was pulled.

Interesting, as there is a need to update and replace existing frames that the 350 would have addressed. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

If Airbus does not commit to a 380neo, you will not see another bus order for many years to come.

My prediction is 50 787-10s orders for 2015 Dubai airshow.

QF has 50 787-9's on order starting delivery in 2016.
There's your 330/340 replacement fleet.

Isn't the QANTAS order just options to buy, not firm orders?
