Baghdad and other Middle East questions
I am currently working for the ATC in Germany. SERCO has contacted the DFS GmbH and told us they are looking for several controllers to fill positions in the Middle East, e.g. up to 70 controllers for Muscat or up to 6 controllers for Baghdad. Apart from that they are looking for controllers for Bahrein, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Can anyone working in Baghdad give detailed information on:
- shift cycles (on/off, working hours etc.)
- salary
- safety arrangements within the camp
- stuff to do within the camp when you are off
- traffic movements (max flights per hour etc.)
- atc system used (is it still paper strips?)
- evacuation plan in case of emergency or attacks
Anyone here planning to work in Muscat? When will the new center be build? Which ATC system will be used?
Cheers,
NN
