Best Airline In The World Awards

And the world's best airline is... - CNN.com

EK has slipped to number 4, down from number 1 last year.

It may be time for another round of floggings. This will continue until morale improves.

Turkish, Garuda and Asiana in the top ten? Obviously safety record was not a factor here...

Ratings were done by passengers worldwide. Surprised that safety is not an issue with them

Good on Garuda, I bought a full fare and flew with them recently when I couldnt get on EK/QF to Aus and they were tremendous.

As for EK slipping, probably not a big surprise, changes in the wind perhaps?

Qatar coming second shows that you can treat your employees even worse than Emirates and still get appraisal from the passengers.

Both showed very nicely that with punitive leadership you can rise to the top quite fast . However, it does not last long enough. Maybe for one CEO period, but then this method wears out in no time.

The fall is mostly even faster than the rise, sustainability does never come with this preferred ME style (this stands for mediaeval buy the way).

At EK it has started!

LR3 makes a lot of fair points

Now judge for yourself:
Emirates Customer Reviews and Ratings | SKYTRAX

LR3's points about disruption handling at DXB are sadly proven. We go home but for pax delayed by LIAC at DXB, it's not pretty reading about alleged long waits at the Transfer Desk and basic lack of refreshment vouchers etc.

To be fair, not many airlines have the sheer volume of transfers as EK.
