I would be interested in the tonnage fuel burn difference between our various types over the same routes when carrying exactly the same number of pax % /yield. I did a comparison on the various MAN flights and the difference in fuel loads and burns was frankly startling.
So I REALLY hope those who are keeping the info very close to their chests DO know what they are doing. If not ...........well it wouldn't be the first time would it!?
Whether the discount is enough to put the yield above the 777 given the extra costs is another matter though.

And, my friends, EASA has just issued another AD (one yesterday and one today) for the wing spar on the 380 to fix the problems the original fix (AD) has now created. Geez. Here we go again.

EK couldn't be bothered. Take the whale off the line, let them join the many that are always outside the maintenance hangars, let the good ol' tractor do the work and get hefty compensation from the European taxpayer. The balance sheet therefore still shows a nice profit, so it must be an excellent aircraft.
At least it seems to be "cost neutral".
