Won't believe it till it happens. Also, it will take some time even if it happens.

I would say most probably rumor considering the latest news regarding some mps being against it, And I really hope it is, It's rather discouraging to even think about it.

Sad times.

Back in the old days, GF was the place to be. Long layovers in European destinations with western women tending bar in the back and willing to make the most of the down time in the destination.

Nowadays......... it's a different story.

Hay Varmint, that sounds kind of familiar, but couldn't happen here, could it?
.... but wait, aren't there are at least some ex GF "managers" at work in EK...777/380 CP's for a start.

Quite! They've also just recieved or are about to receive two new A321s making the average age of the A32x fleet very very young. 20 airplanes just sounds too far fetched (here's hoping) and commercial suicide. Oh well, time will tell

Unfortunately, those 2 A321 will not reach BAH, will be sent to storage immediately from Airbus facilities until somebody come and buy those aircraft from GF.

This might come as a shock to you, but all the 320/321s etc are leased and not owned by GF.

(Not an unusual arrangement by the way)

The number of aircraft actually owned by any airline is a rather small percentage of aircraft being operated by airlines...

It's pretty rare to find airlines that own their whole fleet of aircraft one example is our neighbours to the east only own a small percentage of their already large fleet

But then again if true 20 planes is not exactly the most viable solution at all (for a country like Bahrain it should be within current fleet size or a bit more)

All we know is there is more to the issues than fleet size
