Hi!
Did you get an e-mail saying that you were shortlisted or you just got your status changed to "shortlisted" in the emirates careers website?
I'm asking this because I never got an e-mail saying that I was shortlisted. I simply noticed that my status changed to "shortlisted".
Thanks!

Have you been shortlisted without receiving an e-mail?
Thanks LakeRat
To all of the others:
Am I the odd one here? Or any of you also got your status changed to "shortlisted" without receiving any e-mail stating that?
Thanks.

What is the latest regarding interviews? Are they calling for Boeing-only or Airbus-only interviews or is the interview the same and fleet decided on when offer is presented?
Is it normal for an interview to be scheduled and then cancelled because their "Boeing interview slots" were already full and thought you had a Airbus rating?
Some things just dont add up in their latest round of interview invites...

Well, about interviews being cancelled because of not having the type rating it happened to me last march. So it's not new.
Good luck and tailwinds to all

There is no more full transitions onto the 330 , only 320 -330 CCQ due to the large number of 320 pilots applying. More than likely only airbus experience will get applicants on the 380 from the the street.
I see IASCO are advertising for DEC A380 for Skymark Airlines. 1500 PIC on anything CRJ200 or bigger for the gig.
Pay would seem to be half what everyone would pay, but the sushi is fresh I guess. 20 days on 10 days off.
A good place to wait for your EK FO interview perhaps?

Well, sort of. They want non-rated Captains for the 737 with the chance to upgrade to the A380 if it eventually arrives as planned in 2014.
1500 hrs PIC on a RJ straight into the left seat of a 380? That's a huge step and I'm not sure I would be flying Skymark airlines during Typhoon season as a pax if that's the case.
And before anyone slates me I'm not questioning the abilities of RJ pilots or in fact anybody. I know all command time counts for something. Just having made the step-up from the LHS 737 to the LHS 777 I can say from experience that it's a huge learning curve.
Especially if you're doing it outside the US or Europe.

Hi Guys, just a little update, I was over in Dubai last month, and there were about 20 of us there, and apparently they had 20 the week before. Everyone was Airbus or Boeing rated, and I was told by one of the recruitment team that that wouldn't change for a long time as they have a huge amount of applications they can choose from. They seem to be quite selective too, as no one from the previous week made the grade, and only 8 of us made it through from our group, with 3 of those failing the medical. Seems like interviews are really ramping up now though, so a lot of you should hear something very soon. Good luck everyone.

To those who have their status as "Under Review", how long has it been for you?
Me its been nearly a month. I got to that within a week of applying. Guess there's a lot of guys to churn through.
A320 4400hrs
