It appears that you do not have the minimum stated FO requirements which are, from the EK website:
- A minimum of 4000 hours total flying time (may include 25% P3 or FEO time to a max of 500 hours)
- A minimum of 2000 hours multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft (P3 time cannot be used for this requirement).
OR
- A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time on a modern commercial multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft jet (P3 time cannot be used for this requirement)
As your jet hours appear to be on a corporate, not commercial aircraft, you would not be accepted for the 2500 hour group.
Generally there is a preference for pilots with significant commercial experience.
As Emirates does not accept Sim hours, they would likely not give credit for your A320 rating.
You can always submit an application, but the likelihood being invited for an interview is extremely remote

Hey guys.

I was told that the last offers went for April 14th. Nothing after that, at least on the 777.
They told me that the next courses for Boeing will be at the end of the year and that because of this my application will be over and I will have to re-interview.

Maybe Airbus guys will have a chance.

Good luck.

So no Boeing courses for around 8 months?! Wow! Things are slowing down, that sounds unprecedented.

Hi guys...

there seems to be a lot of different informations depending on who you are asking. Myself and a few other mates got the emails this week, saying that we are all in the Holding Pool. We all had 3000+ hours of Airbus and we were all assessed for the A380, despite the fact that they kept the door open for the A330. I personally think we will be sent to the whale as it really doesn't make much sense to send us to the 330, when they are going and we all have the reqs for DEFO A380. Since day one, on the email, we were all assessed for the whale.

The big ? is regarding the start date... initially they said it would be quick... then in Dubai they said September / October... now some people is saying December. I believe the holding pool of Airbus guys is quite empty, and I am on the first group as we did the assessment in December, with the second stage in early Feb.

Has anybody got any inside info to help us understanding what is going on training wise?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Take care.

Hi Man,

well I don't know what happened with you tbh. What did they tell you? As I said, the Airbus hold pool must be quite empty, although it's filling up as we speak every week! :-)

Take care...

Rizla... that's right... have you got 3000+ hours on airbus? Is the only thing that I could think of! :-( We were all told a few times that 3000+ was the requirement to get in as DEFO A380 was more or less the only thing they were looking at... but obviously that was december and things might have changed!

I hope you get a call very soon!

Some of you are going to have some real problems working for EK and living in Dubai based on the impatience you demonstrate in your posts.......

It's all about supply and demand , right now lots of supply. Also remember they try to not hire lots from any one country all at once.

Rizla

They confirmed me that there was no course for Boeing (apparently Airbus is no longer an option for Boeing guys) so I could just plan to re-interview in April (interviewed May 2012).
If you try to contact them they can give you more info now.
Don't want to look too pessimistic but for Boeing guys from May last year is over, don't know for the bus... But we're already at the end of March, if there was a course for you in May you should have been contacted before I'm afraid...

They kindly offered me to interview again in April even if the 1 year period wasn't yet over, but I had to refuse.
If you try to reach them you may have an interview date for next month and then a joining date before the end of this year.

Good luck!
