Dubai air show future venue
2013 it will be at Dubai World Integalatic freight port.

As previously mentioned above the access to this years event was a fiasco, i took the UAV metro to EK world, and spent 1hr in the shuttle bus going round the EK building, to then spend 20 mins watching IDIOTS trying to fight accross 4 lanes of the Q to get in via the 1 lane.

The police were rejecting any vehicles with out the right coloured pass. The IDIOTS who had just blocked traffic for so long, were now forced back out of the Q, and told to Fox Oscar.

Moving to DWC must be good news, if not just for the pax sitting in the terminal, awaiting repatriation. or worse still holding awaiting a priority diversion to Muscat....

Lucky the creek was available for the departure diversion....


Why not 2012.????

I seem to recall that after the last airshow they announced the next one would be at DWC. WOnder if it will be true this time.

Getting there by taxi was easy, but getting out on the shuttle bus was a pain, I don't know why they couldn't just drop us at the EK building or the airport

They had shuttle buses running to Emirates HQ and Terminal 3.

The three times I went I parked in airshow car park on the East side, Al Twar, shuttle bus to/from not a problem??

I wouldn't complain it is going to be DWC in 2013!! Miles from anywhere....

And the one before that!

As for the departure diversion......wonder how the septics would react if the same thing happened off 30 at OMDW and it fell in the middle of the Jebel Ali port?! Especially if one of the big boys was berthed......

why not every year
I would think that Dubai, would opt for every year....

Mutt: I did just that, on last day and took over 1 hour from the EK metro to the expo.
on previous days used Rashadia (SPL) metro, and good service TO , but the FROM was round the houses.....

MEBA was due to go overseas....
I assumed, hoped that Dubai, would be in Dubai, and not MEBIA.
