Etihad Crew Accommodation

We have now new housing regulations that prohibits all cabin crew including cabin managers and cabin seniors who live in the single accommodation to have any guest stay overnight. From now on if we want to have a guest overnight, we will need to get an approval from the welfare even for one night. Nobody was informed about this new rule, only security received the memo.

Not even a husband is allowed to stay for more than 14 days in a year, let alone someone else. Family members are in no better position either. Those who are making these rules need to realize that this is 21st century and that those rules belong to medieval times.
Do they have the same regulation in their accommodations? One needs to ask a certain someone if in her home country (UK) there are such regulations?? Are these rules being imported from places like Pakistan or India?

They are not allowing you to live with anyone and in the same time they are not letting you move out. Very same people who are pretending to be busy with issuing rules that make no sense, are making sure that none of their freedoms are not being cut. They are allowed to have their families with them for as long as they like. Not to mention parties, gay and straight orgies that happen in houses of very same people who are forbidding basic stuff for the crew. Its do as I say not as I do.

They should lead by an example since they get paid more than we do, unlike us who risk our lives for peanuts. Cabin Crew are denied basic rights such as right to get married and have children. Maybe these people who are making all this rules should go to somebody and get checked what is wrong with them?! Because they got mixed up between the prisoners and a normal employees just like them!!!

Etihad crew accommodations are turning into maximum security prisons with three or four guards at main entrances, two on each garage entrance and exit. Like that is not enough, there is security personnel in the parking patrolling in the night enforcing military curfew. Why don't you just put one security guard in each apartment and get it over with? Would be nice now to share a cell with somebody, since no visitors are allowed.

Security guards and their supervisors are more than happy to enforce the curfew since for them it means big money. It is possible for a boyfriend or girlfriend to stay overnight but they have pay to security for that privilege.

There are many other companies in the UAE (Emirates) and region (Gulf Air) that provide accommodation to its crew without all this rules. Don't provide accommodation if you are planning to make one’s life a living hell.

Here is an idea, get everyone in one place then build a huge electric fence with barbed wire on top. Build watch towers and get more security in it. Why would crew deserve any better treatment they don't risk their lives like those who sit on the desk and get paid really well while being accommodated in best houses with no control and prison like treatment.
Want to break even start from yourselves, get a pay-cut and come live in the prison called crew accommodation.

On the 8th of June (Deletedhas sent another memo regarding the visitor policy. She said that there is inconsistency regarding how the visitor policy is implemented across various crew buildings. She said that a team is currently undertaking a review of the visitor policy and its implementation. She said that she understands the impact on our private lives and it is important that this review in concluded in a timely manner. Therefore the results will be communicated to us within one week.

Who is she if she can say that the new rule will have the impact on our private life????!! Does it mean that we should ask for her permission when to sleep with our spouses??!!

Just be careful how you say it or, you may find your aren't in crew accommodation any longer. Or AD.
