Etisalat stops SMS texts to Oz

In another amazing move in the telcommunications world Etisalat has, according to the customer service operator..."through mutual aggreement have discontinued SMS between Telstra and Etisalat indefinately, sorry for the inconvenience"

That is just unbelievable. 2010..... or 1910????

I hear its because Etisalat hasn't paid there bills down there. Just got back and I didn't get any text and the one I sent didn't go through. Other crew said they got a couple text. Remember its only 1432 on their calender!

yep... I am still getting them but the one I send sits in the delivery report till it expires. just disgusting behaviour.

If DU have paid their bill maybe its time to change my provider.

Etislut issues

Oh and I thought it was because I had not paid MY bill.!!

Thanks for the info guys - yes switching to
Vodaphone seems to have helped the problem - until they don't pay that bill of course...

And this is a government organisation !!! 1432 is exactly right - still wiping as#'s with rocks!!!

And yet I get all sorts of bullsh@t text messages about sunglass sales, beach parties, welcome to Etislut roaming etc but I can't get one from them telling me to switch service providers??

naggers!!!

Now that is the funniest thing I have seen here in a long time, they really are people who annoy!

I think South Park did a show on them!

Change to DU

Have just changed to DU Full international Data package 200 dhms (etisalat 295) in bound calls when roming flat rate 1.25 dhnms (Etisalat what ever they like) outbound same as Etisalat, overall looks like a good saving also I signed up for the 150 dhms a month with gives you 150 national calls and 150min international calls from Dubai. customers service still bad but they seem to be trying which is a start.
