Meat import: UAE

FYI,

Apparently the ban on meat import is now lifted, APART from chicken. I'm not sure why we haven't been informed though.

cheers

Are you sure......

I read that chicken is now OK - was banned due Avian Flu, but no mention was made of other meat products.

I've been bringing meat in virtually all the time.

It's the uninspected/wrapped in brown paper stuff that they get very excited about, and with good reason IMHO.

Joints, sliced, tins etc from a supermarket, clearly marked, have all been waved through with little or no interest. If they ask, I am honest and tell them what I have. So far they have been very reasonable.

There are no guarantees's but......... to customs thus far.
