Dear S.F.L.Y,
I sincerely hope that you end up visiting Prestige Jet in a "truth finding" mission. If it does happen, please pay their maintenance a visit and ask for the aircraft tech log sheets and check for defect entries compared to the hours achieved. You will find out what will lead you to one of two conclusions:
- Either their aircraft are almost perfect and maintenance free!!!!!!, or
- Much of the maintenance work on the aircraft is being done without documenting it. Why? simply because there are no authorized mechanics to do the work!
Also, while out there, please ask for the mechanics training, licensing and type rate records. You will see the practical translation of the word "VIOLATION". The question is: Wasn't anything done about it? you will find the answer in the reports that their X-maintenance director made to the CEO. Try to have access to some of said reports and see for yourself. It was made in black and white: " until mechanics are properly licensed and authorized, work on the aircraft will continue to be in violation of the GCAA as well as international rules and regulations". The CEO was given LEGAL solutions but never cared to find the time to discuss them. He was too busy expanding! One thing that has to be made very clear; most of their maintenance staff/mechanics are pretty decent and experienced but this is not all that it takes.
What is hurting most is the fact that while maintenance staff have, and still are, jeopardizing their future and careers, they are being treated like slaves. Mr. CEO knows very well how to complete the elements of the slavery chain: Overwork, underpay and lack of respect. Please, try to converse with any of them (except the new maintenance director) and ask how many working hours a week each one puts, and how many times their requests for overtime have been rejected by the CEO. Try to ask any of them about the CEO's response regarding the repeated requests for transportation allowance which they had been promised from day one!!
As you can see, the above directly relates to the the safety of flight in light of the existing work environment and facts on the ground, and consequently gives an indication as to the level of professionalism at PJ.
Other facts pertaining to other departments remain to be exposed.
Again, I urge all not to take my words for granted. PJ CEO claims that their doors are open with extreme transparency, I challenge him to prove me wrong
without using substandard and insulting language.
Please remember that this debate is intended to make the truth known for the sake of the good and misinformed people.
