Hmmmmmmm, one is actually starting to wonder if our dear friend Desert Diner has actually just hit the nail straight on the head.........................very much possibly!!!

This will open the door - perhaps - for Quebec Romeo to be the launch customer of the new Airbus A370 aircraft in yr2015??

THR MCT,

Ohh yes... Its seems like you are the one that is talking out of his @ss. What is up whit this TYPICAL ME attitude, "If you dont like it here just leave"?
Its all about principles, contracts and what was promised to all this people before leving their home countries to come to work in this $hit hole.
I think that AAB and his army are forgeting that even in ranks of CC you have very educated and smart people, many of them with University degrees, and they will find something better sooner or later! ONLY loosers will be companies like Qatar Airways and others in the ME.

You mentioned that BA is asking their staff to work for free???
They might be asking them but nobody is forcing them to do so!

Btw... Yes, everybody WILL leave sooner or later and all the ME Oil/Gas rich countries should think of making friends everywhere, not enemies.
One thing is sure... All good things come to the end, so lets wait and see whats going to happen when the desert will "DRY" up.

Do you want to try to guess who is going to have the last laugh?

I am perpetually amazed by our fellow brethern who continually refer to this region (their chosen place to live and work) as a sh!t hole, yet also repeatedly refer to BA requesting their staff to work for nothing!!!

How ironic! And what do you actually want?

One recommends something - T.C.B.E.K. (Or "TC Bek" if you prefer) ------- Think Carefully Before Engaging Keyboard!

Sorry for the thread drift..............

Anyway, Qatar Executive already is launched and has it's own website(QATAR EXECUTIVE). One wonders just how long it will be before Qatar Express (www.qatarexpress.com) is reserved as a domain! What else are 24 x A320's gonna do? (Only 10 will have two class interiors, IMO.)

@ THR MCT

Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon period mate! Enjoy while it lasts because very soon the truth will hit you full force! And it will hurt badly.

@A300man,

are you sure about the configuration? If that's the case these 10 aircraft will be used to replace the older A320s in the fleet and they will be used to reduce capacity on certain EU routes. The other 14 than could be used for the low cost arm...

Is that economically possible/viable?

That would imply as well that the A320 drivers most probably will be flying a mix of low cost/normal ops. Boy oh boy, they will not be happy!

Time will tell I guess. Le Bourget is not over yet and it looks like QR has plans to make a statement everyday.

Farce? Don't think so. Sounds like a pretty good business plan to me. Just look at EK load factors on the OZ sectors, and not only in cattle class. Is it four or maybe five daily flights now? Perhaps some "expert" can explain why GF pulled out of there, (amongst other places too numerous to mention, but that would be another topic.)

If this doesn't prove my theory I can't imagine what could....Some cultures and the thinking and thought processes inherent to that culture should not be allowed to Captain a Company no less an aircraft. Thats not a bad thing, I'm not knockin it. It just is what it is. Enshallah.
