Al Jazeera Airways....

Hello all. I was offered a job with them on the 320 last March after personal and Sim asessment in Madrid, Spain by Mr. Turnipseed, RIP, and the chief pilot and his assistant, whose names I will not reveal.
We shook hands and I was led to believe I would start in May; that I would recieve an e-mail with instructions.
It is June and I STILL HAVE HEARD NOTHING.
I have sent e-mails, called ( impossible to reach Human Resources ) but to no avail.
Does anybody currently there have any information for me ?
Is is true there are a number of candidates sitting in Kuwait waiting for class dates at their own expense ? I have heard some have been there over 3 months already....
Any info will be much appreciated by my bank

One has to think that the days of Gulf Air are numbered. Qatar orders billions in A320, A321's. Etihad taking in everyhting they can, then there's Jezeera, Air Arabia, Wataniyaaaaa. Emirates founder Flanagan(Brit) saying he needs ever Jumbo and large aircraft they can get there hands on albeit it might be a month or two late. Doesn't matter he wants them anyways.
Then there's GF, flapping in the wind without what seems to be a clue on what to do or business plan for growth or not?

I like it when the Omanies say.......What to do ? Nice chaps they are.

rumours indeed

Dunno where you get your gen from Duh but EK and EY are not taking everything they can get their hands on. Middle East aviation is feeling the pinch just as it is being felt elsewhere in the world, whether the respective companies will admit to it or not is a different story but numbers are down and orders being put on hold.

Rumours are one thing but red herrings are just plain annoying.

Hustle on.

I've read these items all within the past two weeks. Here in DXB in the local papers, news releases from the Paris Air Show, Arab business magazines. Amazing all the reading material we carry on our Jets. You just have to pick it up and skim through it.
Hustle on and stay informed, right

Fair enough, just seems to be the total opposite of what the company I work for is doing (expansion definately on hold here) and similar stories from colleagues elsewhere in the region and a sibling at EK.

To be honest with you, I hope you're right.

Hustle on

Greetings Brothers and Sisters

Does anybody know if they are planning on hiring FOs in the near future. I just did their app online couple of days ago.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
