Civil border surveillance job ad

G'day

I'm trying to find out more information about a job that was advertised some time ago on one of the Australian job boards.

PILOTS
Overseas Employment Opportunities
A large, well established Australian aviation organisation is seeking applications from Pilots and, in particular, Check & Training Pilots experienced in maritime surveillance or in a similar role. You will be part of a highly professional team conducting civil border surveillance operations in a safe Middle Eastern country, flying a twin turbo prop aircraft modified for the surveillance role.

There was some discussion in the D&G forums that this might be another subsidiary of Cobham using ex-coastwatch F406's in Abu Dhabi. As the recruitment was being done by an Australian contractor there was very little information in the advertisement to go off, so I was hoping someone in this forum might have an idea if the operation got up and possible some contact details. (Hoping they might need more crews )

Cheers

Gidday Hass,

Your assumption re ex coastwatch Reim F406 was very accurate, but the latest news to hand was it got buried a couple of weeks ago, when two pilots that were employed for the contract were made reduntant.
