I think you are just making an assumptions ...............me thinks. Read the report again dude..............EK will not be flying to these destinations next year unless the price of oil falls to US$105. Not definite ...........

"If oil trades in that range and I hope it will, it will restart expansion of our network. We will add Durban, Algiers, Amsterdam, Kiev, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. We have hundreds of places we can go."

Well actually by that Quote, its not set at $105, but if it trades in that "range"

Cheers

They'll start the routes anyway - where are all these new aircraft going to go? You can only increase capacity so much on current routes... Well, maybe some routes could be increased hugely still....

Most of the current number of AC's are to be retired in the next 5-7 years. I think the average is going to be @ an aircraft /month for ever

Wonder what the big attraction of Kiev is? I see RJ and EY are also looking to start services there in the near future?

Another year for EK to miss DUB, but hey, what's new. We have EY anyway, so stuff 'em; EK had its chance and blew it. Again.

Akerosid- Probably no money in it. EY don't seem to care about making a profit. Didn't Air Lingus try it last year with an A330 and stop?

yes, I know that fellah.Have operated into DUB and DXB many times myself. However, the issue is traffic to UAE FROM DUB, and it's supposedly the 'low season' HERE in the sandpit... Are you 'knowing' now???
