GF to wet lease 340?

Anyone heard the rumor that we are getting a WET-leased 340 next month from an Indian airline?

Last time we leased an A340 from 9W as they didn't have the licence to operate international. I remember it ran on ATH - lovely burn of fuel.

I would have thought 9W needed all their aircraft but with fuel so high and 340 a gas guzzler why not lease it out?

9w A340

Jet no longer operate the 340,
only 340 operator in India at present would be Kingfisher

Air India turnd down the short term leasing in March this year and the beaureaucracy being what it is not likely to agree so soon.

GF could be a possibility for wet lease as well.
