Looks like an ex-Qatar Airways FO was arrested for supplying false documents, allowing him to get a job flying as a Captain at Sri Lankan!
If rumors are true, it was the same one who used to walk around with 3 bar epaulettes in his shirt pocket, claimed to fly for the German Air Force and had tea with the Amir for being the first expat to buy land at West Bay.

I flew with G.B. before he left. Huge ego, small skills and smaller personality.
I believe we have had a few cases in the past and looking at the amount of people that will be required in the future I am sure we will get a few more.
I hope this is a lesson for QR to do background checks on all of our new hires before they start flying! And if any have falsified their details then Qatar Airways should follow what the Sri Lankan’s did and hand them over to the police!

The Famous.."call me G.B.A." sorry CPT GBA....! Indeed if true thats a new experience for him..he spent already a few days in jail in Qatar(car accident under the influence of alcohol), now in sri lanka,this time he might stay a little bit longer.

German Airforce and FIVE degrees in engineering he told me once..!

And for sure a master degree in Arrogancy!
