With the "style" of driving out there, you must have a death wish.

You can't register right hand drive cars in the UAE and cars are so cheap out here there wouldn't be much point.

Thanks for that little nugget .Short of persuading the Maserati-man to make RHD compulsory , I suppose I will have to sell my beloved 2 door !
Never mind , 'cheap' sounds good.

RHD Cars

Thinking about taking a car home, anyone know where I can get a RHD car here in the UAE. Where is "honest John" in Sharjah?

I am pretty sure there is still the odd 're-exporter' of RHD good quality cars which come into Dubai from Japan then shipped off to Cyprus/UK/Africa. I will have a cast about and see if I can find it .
Don't fancy an XKR going cheap ?

ennui , try this link below . I know it is not UAE based so impossible to see car before purchase , but interesting nonetheless

A good Google around should dig up a few more.
Good luck.

RHD cars

KotaKota
I believe you can only import RHD vehicles if they are under 5 years of age, current warrent of fitness, you wear white gloves and deliever the mail in the rural sector. Maybe a good part time profession, you think.

Good Luck(hehehe)

What happened to all the "sharp" postings then? Removed by the authors or removed by the moderators?

Humble apologies for the excitement / squabbling caused by the sensational subject of RHD cars in the ME ! I will be more circumspect in my choice of controversy next time.
Enjoyed being called a 'kid' , that Nivea must be working .

Safe flying

Just when I thought it was safe........
Its not about the money Double D , in fact I would barely lose a bob , its about the car . I like it , but I cannot take it with . It will now remain in its garage .
Can we now please call it quits ?
