While we are on the subject, whats the story with Prestige Jets and Al Jaber aviation.... Are they still operating? Or did Royal Jet and Qatar Executive take over the market?

Good Question

There are many better qualified than I to answer for most.

Re DANA, they are still in a state of FluX.

Mo obvious business plan, more recent firings..

Ops Normal.

Hey Gulfstream,

well, here's the latest update i've picked uo.(dont know how old this news is though, but trusting the source, it seems to be 'latest/late breaking').

A Saudi Arabian Sheikh who's into shipping and offshore energy support(he's got these megawatt power generators on ships)called Murabit al Sawar's picked up a sizable chunk of Dana and its out to clean the house up. THey have a new DFO who's Romanian, i've heard he's a nice chap, although has a chip on his shoulder, the RAK heat should sort him out in no time.

They picked up a guy from Air Partner(i believe he used to be with dana before, not sure how true that is. This New Sales Director's working extremely hard in building the place up. He seems to be on an aggressive brand build exercise, apart from hosting an industry Iftar they are back courting the top charter brokers with familiarization tours on the GV(it now under jet Aviation's maintenance contract). Smart chap, lets hope he's financially backed by the Sheikh to do what's needed.

I hope they sort their internal problems out, they were a decent outfit, they treated their people well; my novice 'arm-chair' executive comment would be that they need to do is restructure the place a bit, build on being more efficient and get more lean and aggressive.

Gulf, how's their 604 doing?; any info on that aircraft?.i heard they sold it to ExecuJet, any word on that?

I hope they put the Saudi Sheikh's money to good use.

hope the good news remains good

Like every thing in the sand pit, things happen very very quickly..

I heard that the Romanians had taken over RAK Airways, and as they both have same Senior management this is no surprise, and many Romanians in senior posts in RAK.

I would be interested to see who from A.P, would take any post in RAK, but as I have previously worked with them, this could be good news.

Heavy Investment in marketing and not just pocket the commission is needed, and the reputation needs improvement.

The Gulfstream always was maintained (indirectly) by Jet Aviation in Switz, or by Glf in Luton.

The CL604, had almost all the crew fired recently, and that would make logical approach IF the plan was to give to ExecuJet for management.

HH stopped flying, (in general) on the Glf and used the CL, due to operating costs.

I certainly hope that he gets value for money from the YoYo.
