30th Sept @ EK????

Just a quickie,

Has anyone else noticed that virtually no EK flights are crewed (outbound) on the 30th Sept, from cabin crew or flight deck???

Weird, No?

GREAT.... HOW NICE WOULD THAT BE... ACTUALLY THINK ITS ANOTHER CO.K UP IN THE BIDDING SYSTEM SO AS TO GIVE THEM A BIT THEM A BIT MORE SCOPE TO CHANGE AND MESS WITH THINGS. SUSPECT IT WILL CHANGE TO A SBY OR A FLT.. GOOD LUCK IN THE CLINIC. SEEMS TO BE A REGULAR HANG OUT THESE DAYS. ONLY PLACE TO MAKE THINGS BETTER

Angry "Blankety Blank" Days- We Love 'Em

It gets better and better with each passing month. I can accept that sometimes computer systems need a few months to 'bed in', as it were, but this is gone beyond a joke.
Initially these blank days were to allow a seamless 'knit' with the following month's roster. If you were assigned a duty on the first that made the previous day a rest day then it could be changed to that or a day off if no rest day was assigned. Now, a good proportion of the pilot body are on standby that day in effect (It can be changed to anything now- apparently).
What genius figured that by not crewing the flights on the 30th it would make things any better? Furthermore, if you are one of the lucky many with a blank day will you be contactable to be told about your change of duty?
This coupled with that non-event of a meeting recently would seem to indicate that the wheels are indeed falling off and nobody knows what to do

Here's my suggestion as to why we're all on standby on the 30th. Emirates is moving on that day. Yep, the whole kit is being flown out to a mystery destination which will be the new hub as of October 1st. Can't reveal exact location but suffice to say that the baggage labels won't have to change much and GF will not be happy having just announced they will be visiting the same fine city (or 'Dirty Ole Town ) in November. How's that for a rumour???

Isn't it the day when aliens are landing on our planet and the extraterrestrials are finally going home?
