FAA Class 3 Medical Exam Eye Check
Has anyone gone through the above and if so, can you please tell me exactly what do they test of your eyes during the exam? Do they also examine your cornea? Or do they only do a eyesight check to see that it passes the 20/40 vision? Any info would be greatly appreciated....

when i did my 1st class faa, general health with the slit lamp, may dilate your eyes, not painful, check your eye co-ordination, ie, squint, convergance- ie look at a light and gets closer untill it goes blurry, muscle balance, colour vision, distance, near and intermitten test, just looking and charts, and check you eye glasses if you need them.

Ok, thanks for the info...:)

It's been a while since I did a Class 3, but as I recall it was a simple vision chart (cover your eye, read the letters, switch eyes) and a color-vision test (pick the numbers out of the dots) - if you can't get past the color vision portion, a daylight restriction is put on your medical cert.
