5 years without renewing faa medical, renew or initial?

hi,
does anyone know if after 5 years since my last medical renew i can still do a renew or i have to go back and do a full initial medical check?

The form asks for the date of your last FAA medical exam or you check a box saying you've never held a medical. Once you are in the system you are renewing. The FAA has gone to an electronic form you fill out before you go to the doctor so you will have to create an "med express" account.
