FAA Aeromedical Examiner

I need to get my medical cert for a PPL. How much does this cost roughly and does it vary a lot?

I notice that Mr Pitts is 'authorised by the FAA (USA)'. I may want to fly in the US one day, so is it worth me going to him so I can get the US certification at the same time?

I paid $150 for a third class last month. Should not vary that much from state to state.
