To have initial EASA Class 1 medical you must attent AMC (Aero Medical Centre).

Renewal of EASA Class 1 medical could be done by AME (Aero Medical Examiner).

From the CAA it seems you need to travel to one of the AMC in EU in order to get your initial Class 1 medical.

Btw, why not to take a small holiday to London or perhaps to beautiful Prague?

AucT:
Isn't it the case that if he wishes to do his conversion flight test in the UK his initial class one has to be done int he UK right? He is not able to do this in Prague or anywhere else? Am I right?

Auct has it spot on , there is no one in Australia that can do initials or renewals for Easa , the closest for renewal is Malaysia or Singapore .

You will be required to do your initial at a A M C at any EASA licensing authority
But when you do your test , your medical is required to be Transfered at the country of testing

Curtis,

You got me even more confused now....

1 my examiner is from Germany coming to test me in my aircraft ( french registered) in Spain and my medical is Spanish , once I have passed my skills test in Spain and I send my paperwork back to France , there is no issues .?
