Height?

Will my height be a problem in becoming a professional pilot?

I'm currently 6ft 1 ... but my "prediction" I had from my GP as a small child was that I would finish up at around 6'4" ...

So my question is ... is 6'4" too high?

Nope. Fly with a colleague who's 6'4" and medically and ergonomically not an issue.

Just hope that when you eventually get onto a jet it's an airbus and not a 737 or your knees and ears will become very close acquaintances.

That's nice to hear!

First time I stepped foot in a 737 'pit ... the size really shocked me! Really tiny !!!

I (used to) fly with someone 6 feet 5 inches tall. Used to fly Jetstreams. He is going onto the 737 this winter.

I'm 6'8" and flew in Africa (Aztec, Baron, Islander, Trislander) for years. Then ATR 42/72, followed by Avro RJ100 (TRE). Moved to the Gulf; 330/340 F/O for three years before being 330/340 skipper 'til now.
Now 380 Captain.... Loads of head and leg room
