Yes to both. Look for your nearest doc and test center. As they say in the FAA, its a no brainer. Best done on a PM.

Sorry!

It seems Mike Jenvey is correct, I just looked on the internet and all the old centers seem to have dissapeared. I get my 1st class med done every 6 months in the UK, and I have seen the testing center at Flight Safety Le Bourget. I have a pal who wants to do the same thing, I will have to revise my advice to him. If its any help, when I done it, I just got the books, studied and then took it the day after I arrived in the US. You get your result there and then so you can go directly for the practical test. Asuming you have satified the security regulations beforehand.

FAA AMEs over here in the UK can indeed be found on the FAA website.

AFAIK all can do class 1, 2 and 3; both initial and renewals.

Used to be able to do the FAA exams at Norwich 01603301902
