Australia claims yet another world record!

At the Handball world cup, Australia has once again claimed the spot as the worst nation in world cup history.

Iceland, who beat Australia 55-15, has now the world record in handball world cup history with the greatest victory ever.

The Previous record was held by Sweden against, yes you guessed it, Australia!!..(49-17)

Nevertheless, Australia are still the proud holders of the worst team in World Cup history trophy.

And just to cheer the Aussies up, no England didn't even qualify.

Sigh....the "Handball World Cup" - what a coveted trophy that would be - could use it to weigh down the lobster pots.

Just one question - what is this "Handball" - some type of sport, a board game or what ??

Considering soccer is (rightly) called wogball in Oz, I hate to think of what the proper term is for "Handball"

I wonder if it's anything like the handball we used to play in primary school with just a tennis ball and a divided section of concrete i.e. a footpath

Somehow I doubt it.

Cheers, Captainowie.

On another tangent - Australia held the largest winning margin in a world championship Icehockey match. Yes in the C division world champs in 1989, the Aussies beat NZ 58-0!
