Pprune use

It's been around for a few years now.
Is it still growing ?
Does anyone have stats on users / number of posts?

Some people I used to see on here regularly don't post so often now.
And a lot of JB threads seem to be between the same couple of dozen or so users.....

Is the future bright for PPRuNe ?

The stats are hiding in plain sight at the bottom of the home page.

Are there figures for those people that have stopped posting for whatever reason and not returned, or have cancelled their registration.

Go back in 5 year stages to see the constant rollover of regulars. You'll find a point where they just about all seem to be strangers.

Emirates B777 gear collapse @ DXB?

the pilots decided to execute a go around. That’s where things got messed up.
The plane climbed to an altitude of 85 feet and the pilots had already retracted the plane’s gear and raised the flaps, though the plane didn’t have a positive rate of climb. At that point the plane began to sink.

People come and go all the time

Sadly we have lost quite a few posters over the last year or so who went on the final flight balls to the wall with burners on full at Mach 10.........

PPRuNe Pops
Coffman Starter
Con Pilot
plus a goodly number of others or Godly in one case that are sadly missed

Course there is an odd banning or three when Mods believe someone needs to spend some gardening leave away from PPRuNe..................

The PPRuNe stats suffered a reset a couple of years ago, prior to which there were a number of 'most on line' occasions when the figures were up around 20,000.

It is interesting to use the search function for usernames that have disappeared.
In some cases this uncovers an Aladdin's cave of messages that reflect the personality (of such as AcroChick and tall and tasty).

As SP pointed out the Techs restore after problems but always neglect to back us the true traffic stats. Previous peak was the low 20,000's.

It's actually quite a long time ago now but we actually lost control of the site at 7,000 on line when the 777 had its whoopsie double fail at Heathrow.

It seems to be a lot tamer than the old days... what with 411A passing away and Slasher gone underground (banned?)... and Danny occasionally whipping people when they got out of line... at least we disposed of the Guv along the way though..

Back in the early 00's it was wild place to be in JB.

Just clocked up my first twenty years on PPRuNe, under a few different user names and there are still several out there who can beat that!

Ryanair thread used to get quite heated......................... that was until they changed their lawyers and started offering some people a complete retraction of made up stories and a donation to a charity and it ends there or inside of a court room.
